Cut to the Bone (Agent Sayer Altair, #3) by Elisson Cooper - Releasing July 14, 2020

Let me just start my review by saying, wow! This was the best Agent Altair book so far and I am so hoping that their is going to be a fourth one. I just hope I don't have to wait until next year for the fourth one if it is coming.
There are a lot of familiar characters that have been in all three of the Agent Altair books: Holt, Tino, Vesper, Nana, and Adi. There is also the return of Max and his FBI dog Kona, who we were all introduced to in the second Agent Altar book, Buried. I was really happy to see Max and Kona return. There is also Jake, who is Agent Altair's husband who passed away four years ago. Agent Altair has been looking into his death since the previous book, Buried, where she learned new information about it.
Cut to to the Bone mentions the first book, Caged, on several occasions. If you have not read Caged or Buried though, I still think you will be able to follow the story fairly easy. But it might not hurt to at least read Caged so you have a better un…

Buried (Agent Sayer Altair, #2) by Ellison Cooper

Let me first start out by saying that Buried is the second book in the Agent Sayer Altair series and if you have not read the first one, Caged, then you have no worries because you will be able to follow this one fairly easily. Buried brings back some of our favorite characters from Caged, such as Agent Altair (obviously, since she is the main character), Vesper (Altair's dog), Nana (Altair's Grandma), Tito (Altair's neighbor and co-owner of Vesper), Addie (Victim from the Caged book that Altair saves and takes into her home), and Ezra. Ellison Cooper also introduces new characters, which help to create the great story that Ellison Cooper writes. There is Kyle (Sheriff), Cricket (Sheriff's sister who has gone missing many years ago), Max (FBI Agent with FBI dog), and many more. I don't want to give away too much. ;)
I have to say that I was not sure what to expect from the second book in the series. I had previously rated Caged a 3 out of 5 due to the parts t…

Caged (Agent Sayer Altair, #1) by Ellison Cooper

The same two cops are called to the same location that they had previously been called to and had found nothing suspicious outside so they dismissed it. Now they are wondering if they had missed something. Could it be that something was wrong the first time? A caged girl is found in the home, which is booby trapped. Cops and FBI agents are killed and injured. Is this the work of a serial killer? Is there a connection to the Mayan myth of the hero twins? Could there possibly be a mole in the FBI or even worse?

This the first book in the Agent Sayer Altair series, which currently consists of two books.
One of the things that I really struggled with was the use of animals in the books. I am a huge animal lover and even though their is no direct cruelty to the animals there is indirect and it was very hard for me to read about.

The plot is easy to follow and it is filled with lots of twists and turns. I found it quite hard to figure out who the serial killer was and when it was final…
